Loki (actually Loki Laufeyson) – a fictional character, a genius of evil, who appears in comics published by Marvel Comics. His character is based on a being of the same name from Norse mythology. The character first appeared in Venus #6 (August 1949) and in modern times in Journey into Mystery #85 (October 1962). The character was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby. Loki suffers from depression and in his free time, he argues with his brother Thor.
Loki has appeared in several ongoing series, limited series, and alternate realities, including his own 4-issue series, Loki (2004).
