Clint Barton was 14 years old when he joined a group of circus performers where he was known as Trickshot, and there he learned combat and extreme acrobatics. When he saw Iron Man, he decided to become a hero, but he was mistaken for a criminal. He became one, wanting to impress Black Widow. Over time, he returned to the side of the law and joined the Avengers as Hawkeye. He died defending Earth from the Kree, but was brought back to life when Scarlet Witch altered reality. He then took on the name Ronin, and later returned to being Hawkeye.
Circus of Crime In his youth, he joined the criminal group Circus of Crime, where he worked as Trickshot. During an important heist, Clint intentionally set off the alarm. He and his group were caught, but Nick Fury offered him a job at S.H.I.E.L.D.
The circumstances of his joining the Avengers are unknown, but it is known that he was a part of the team with Iron Man, Vision, Hulk, Wasp, Captain America, and Thor. The team was eventually disbanded.
After the Avengers disbanded, Clint began operating on his own.
Hawkeye was summoned by S.H.I.E.L.D. to protect the Tricarrier being built. Later, he and Spider-Man began looking for Beetle. They accidentally got their hands stuck together. During the fight, the glue was cut by the villain. Shortly after, Clint distracted him, and Spider-Man attacked Beetle.
When Stark activated the Avengers Protocol, Barton immediately returned to the team. As he later found out, Captain America had been killed by Red Skull. Together with the rest of the team, he went to the Skull’s base, where he met Black Widow. During the fight, Tony lost his suit and arc reactor, so the Avengers had to take him back to their residence to save him. They were all fighting with each other, except for Iron Man, because M.O.D.O.K. had sent microbes into their bodies that caused them such strong anger that they began to accuse each other of mistakes, betrayals, and flaws. Thanks to Tony Stark’s quick reaction, they were able to return everyone to normal and prevent the destruction of New York.
Clint was the first of the Avengers to be absorbed by the ghosts. Together with the rest of the team, they managed to escape from another dimension.
When the Avengers were separated by Ultron, Clint and Thor sided with Tony, while Black Widow, Hulk, and Falcon sided with Captain America. Tony’s Avengers battled Absorbing Man and Titania. They managed to defeat them, but it did not improve their image. Their next encounter was a fight with A.I.M. agents. They met Ant-Man, with whom they began to cooperate. Together, they defeated an upgraded M.O.D.O.K. After this event, Scott Lang joined Tony’s team, although Clint (due to his past) was opposed to it.
